Cintrue for Zoom
Last updated: 2026-10-08
Cintrue is an education platform for teachers and learning academies. The Zoom integration lets an academy schedule live lessons on its own Zoom account directly from Cintrue: Cintrue creates, updates and deletes the Zoom meetings, and only students enrolled in the lesson can join from Cintrue.
Requirements
- A Cintrue academy, and the academy owner account (only the owner can connect or disconnect Zoom).
- A Zoom account (free or paid). Your Zoom plan and billing stay with Zoom. On a free Zoom account, Zoom's own 40-minute limit for meetings with more than one participant applies.
Adding the app (connect Zoom)
- Sign in to your academy's Cintrue dashboard as the owner.
- Go to Settings → Integrations → Zoom and click Connect Zoom.
- Sign in to Zoom if asked and approve the permissions.
- You return to Cintrue with "Connected as <your Zoom email>".
Recommended: in your Zoom settings, turn off "Use Personal Meeting ID (PMI) when scheduling a meeting" so each live lesson gets its own meeting.
Using the app
- In Video lessons, create a lesson (choose Live lesson) or open an existing one.
- Click Add live session: enter a title, date, time and duration. The platform is Zoom by default.
- Choose the meeting options: waiting room (on by default), mute students on entry (on by default), automatic cloud recording (off by default; paid Zoom plans only — if Zoom refuses it, the meeting is created without recording and you are told).
- Save. Cintrue creates a scheduled meeting in your Zoom account.
- At lesson time, click Start session to open the meeting in Zoom as the host.
- Enrolled students see a Join now button from 15 minutes before the start. Cintrue checks their access and then redirects them to Zoom; the meeting link itself is never shown on their pages.
- Changing the session's time or duration in Cintrue updates the Zoom meeting. Cancelling or deleting the session deletes the Zoom meeting.
- When the meeting starts or ends in Zoom, Cintrue updates the session status automatically.
Removing the app
You can remove the integration in either of two ways:
- From Cintrue: Settings → Integrations → Zoom → Disconnect.
- From Zoom: sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace → Manage → Added Apps → find Cintrue → Remove.
After removal, Cintrue revokes the Zoom token where possible and immediately deletes the stored Zoom tokens. It can no longer create, update or delete meetings. Meetings already scheduled stay in your Zoom account, and existing sessions in Cintrue keep their join links until you reconnect or delete them.
Data and privacy
- Read from Zoom: your Zoom user id, account id, email and plan type; OAuth tokens.
- Sent to Zoom: session title, description, start time, timezone, duration and meeting options.
- Stored per meeting: meeting id, join link and passcode (visible to staff only). The host start link is never stored.
- Tokens are encrypted at rest, never sent to the browser and never logged. Zoom data is not sold or used for advertising.
- Students never authorize the app; Cintrue collects no Zoom data about them.
